September Weather

September brings the Madrid folk to Autumn, which is a nice, peaceful time of the year because everyone has gone back to work or school, so there isn’t as much hustle and bustle throughout the city. September can be easily related to spring weather.  Therefore, it is rather cool with the occasional rain. You might want to start to think about getting another layer or two on, or possibly even a light sweater. Even though the days aren’t quite considered cold, the nights can be a little chilly, and don’t forget: not all hotels offer heat. So, you may want to check in with the place you are staying!

Now, for the typical temperatures in September in Madrid:

You will find in September the highs to be 77⁰F (25⁰C), and the lows to be about 58⁰F (14⁰C). These temperatures are considered the ideal temperatures, because most of the month is in the 70s.

You may also want to think about equipping yourself with an umbrella, because although rain is not very common, it can still happen during September. What a beautiful time to come to Madrid!
