May weather

Everyone loves T-shirts! Now it is the season for them (about time, right?). Be wary during May, however, as the weather can become a little windy or rainy during this month.  All you need to do is pack a windbreaker that is waterproof and you are all set! Even though Madrid can be windy/rainy during the month of May, there are many advantages. The temperatures are finally getting into the 70s, allowing the swimmers and sun lovers to come out! There are many warm, and sunny days, but don’t be surprised to see a rainy day!

A clear day in Madrid.

The averages? Of course of course!

During May, you will see highs of 70⁰F (21⁰C), and lows of 50⁰F (10⁰C). These temperatures are not perfect for swimming, but they are for your typical leisurely outdoor activities. They are great for biking around the center, or going for morning walks and runs.

What should you wear? As I said before, T-shirts, light pants or shorts and a light sweater will be perfect (also, don’t forget the windbreaker). Always remember to bring an umbrella if you are coming during the spring months to stay clear of the rain!
