Hi Ak,

Thank you for visiting, I think you may find the La Latina neighbourhood a vibrant and nice place for a family to stay. I came across this in depth adticle on the best places to live in Madrid, please have a look at it: http://kellycrull.com/madrid/best_places_to_1/

I do notknow much about halaal restaurants, but you should consult this page to see a fresh overview of halal restaurants in Madrid: http://www.zabihah.com/sp.php?l=madrid

hi. i'll be travelling to madrid in june and need to know what area is a good area to stay in for families. looking for an apartment catering for 6. I also need to know if there are any halaal restaurants near any of the main tourist attractions. Obviously, price and costs are important to me. Thanks

Thanks you very much for you answer!

Actually, I found very cheap coffee maker, hot pot and boxes on calle Hortaleza (those asian boutiques are wonderful! Everything for 45 euros!) and the duvet at Ikea.

Hi Cassi,

I would go to IKEA to buy really cheap stuff you can throw away after a few weeks. The nearest Ikea is here:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/place?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=ikea+madrid&fb=1&gl=uk&hq=ikea&hnear=0xd42287d383766c9:0xad469cc0ed50997d,Madrid,+Spain&cid=16498998864608480900

The nearest metro stop is: Las Suertes.

Hello there,

I'm in Madrid for a couple of weeks (for work) and my hotel is on Calle Mayor. I need to buy very cheap home articles like a coffee maker (NOT bodum) a hot pot, a duvet and organization boxes. For it's gonna go on the trash after my stay, I don't want to pay a lot. Where should I go?

Thanks
