Drink prices

Madrid is a place where one would really want to do research on as to where to purchase drinks. If one is wanting to get the best price for a refreshing bruski, or a splash of vino, then there are a few spots in specific where one can get an excellent deal. If the visitor is traveling from the United States, then to save money it would be wise to exchange USD to Euro. Doing this in the United States will substantially cut down on the exchange fees.

Price of beer in Madrid varies greatly.

First off, we must go over which places to go to, and which places to avoid. The best places to go-and cheapest-would be just an average bar. Places to avoid would be posh places such as the Joy Eslava Disco, os anywhere near Castellana. The average bar can have very cheap prices if strapped for money.

Now, let’s go over the actual prices, shall we?

I have come up with a nice list of different drinks, and the prices of each. The following include drink of all kinds.

Coke products, carbonated drinks, etc.- €3.00 (USD 4.10), unless one goes to a disco or something of such. At a disco, the prices can be as high as €10.00 (USD 13.67).

Wine- This price depends on the quality of wine one wants. For an average glass, the price would be around €5.00-7.00 (USD 6.83-9.57). Again, this totally depends on the quality of wine that the consumer is looking to purchase.

Mixes- These include a mixture of both alcohol, along with a coke product. These can be anywhere between €5.00-€12.00 (USD 6.83-16.41).

Cocktails- In a bar the prices would be €7.00-€10.00 (USD 9.57-13.67).

All of these prices can greatly vary depending on the place that one is drinking at, however, try to stick to bars to cut down on cash.

It’s always nice to know the prices of drinks, but what is even better is to know where to get the unbeatable prices. There are a number of places throughout Madrid. The following are all excellent, and are relatively cheap!

Balmoral- Stuffed Grouse and cocktails are abundant here. The most popular of the cocktails are the Balmoral, Bullet Shot, and Bloody Mary.

Castellana Ocho- This place is excellent for the music-lover due to the slick jazz sounds playing all the time. If one wants to listen to some jazz, this is the place to be.

El Viajero- This is the place to be now-a-days due to the third-story terrace. This is getting more and more popular as time goes on. It is for a very low price as well!

There are many more very nice and relatively cheap places to acquire drinks of all kinds. What is important to remember is to not just go to any hangout/pub. Try asking around for the best place in town, or try the places that have been listed above. Great ratings don’t mean nothing. Go out and have a nice drink for a very low price!
