Retiro Park

Three hundred and fifty acres of green area and a crystal palace? Check. Countless fountains, sculptures, monuments and a rose garden? Check. A giant artificial pond and an art gallery? Check! Well, it’s official: Retiro park has it all. The list of things you can’t do there is probably shorter than the list of things you can do: laze around on the grass, enjoy an ice cream on any of the many terraces, have your tarot cards read, watch the street performers, rent a row boat, feed the ducks, take in a concert, ride in a horse-drawn carriage…

Retiro is conveniently located in the city centre. It has its own stop on the metro (Retiro, L2) and it is close to other major tourist sites. Simply walk up Calle Alcalá and you’ll find yourself at the front gates!
